Fish 2.0 plans changes to improve diversity, boost networks

Organizers of Fish 2.0, a biennial contest that exposes seafood startups to investors, will redouble efforts to encourage business-to-business networking at this year's event

This year will mark the third time that Fish 2.0, which began in 2013 and is hosted at Stanford University, is held.

Monica Jain, event's founder, told Undercurrent News that recent changes in the competition's structure reflect an increasing focus on connecting businesses to each other.

"We've always been focused on networking, our thing is connecting...but we've seen that it's not only about connecting seafood businesses with investors, but with each other," she said. "They get a lot of benefit out of that."
